What Are Teasers in Sports Betting?
Teasers are a popular type of bet in sports betting that allows bettors to adjust the point spread or total in their favor. This can be a useful tool for those looking to increase their chances of winning, as teasers give you more points to work with compared to traditional straight bets.
In a teaser bet, you are able to combine two or more different bets into one wager. The key difference between teasers and parlays is that with teasers, you have the option to adjust the point spread or total in your favor. This means that if you like a team but aren’t confident they will cover the original spread, you can tease it up to get more points on your side.
For example, let’s say the New England Patriots are favored by 7 points over the Miami Dolphins. If you were to place a traditional straight bet on the Patriots -7 and they win by exactly 7 points, your bet would push and you would get your money back. However, if you were to tease the Patriots down by 6 points, they would only need to win by 1 point for your bet to cash.
